In all fairness, I did just poke my head in at the midway point of this presentation; however, the fact that she was calling this little lizard in her hands a "reptard" as she talked about all of the seemingly ill-advised behaviors it displays in nature--well, it was unsettling to say the least. I chose not to hang around, so there might have been a perfectly plausible explanation for her word choice. I have not discovered a species called reptard, so really I wish I had stayed to discover it and possible register my concern if the answer wasn't satisfactory.
The Black Bear habitat is large and contains multiple areas for the animals to hang out.
Today the preferred spot was just inside the faux cave in the shade mostly.
