EARTH POSTAGE: Amazing Animal Species series, BATS

I like to design commemorative stamps.  Since they're not real, I assign them random denominations under the auspices of the Earth. First in a series.

New Definitives

Definitives are those stamps that are used to close the gaps when the price of shipping something exceeds the rates laid out by the current postal rates, OR supplements stamps purchased at different rates after increases have been implemented.  Earth Stamps will always be bound to values, thus Definitives will never become obsolete.

In my two previous series I chose international National Parks, and Iconic International Architecture.  This new series is far more pedestrian: Fruits of the world.  Although most are found in the Northern Hemisphere.

Earth Stamp Commemorative: Walt Whitman Bicentennial

It's been a long while since I created an Earth Stamp.  Whitman's Bicentennial birth year and Pride month seem like good reasons to rekindle the practice.

Earth Stamps: Banned Books

I love design.  For many years now, I have created commemorative and definitive stamp issues under the auspices of Earth Stamps.  I'm going to start sharing them here.  Hope you enjoy them, too.  The denominations are arbitrary.  Here is a sheet honoring some of the books that have been banned over the years.  A celebration of freedom from censorship.
