Toledo Museum of Art: Modern & Contemporary Galleries

From the Classical world to the world of Modern and Contemporary Art, we entered the lower the level of the Wolfe Gallery.  Feeling a little peckish at this point, I realized that I wouldn't be able to see everything in this area devoted to contemporary and modern works of art.  So the focus was on the items present in the two floors of the Wolfe Gallery.  I immediately recognized an enormous painting by Ellsworth Kelly, and nearby a gorgeous Richard Diebenkorn, but many of the other items were by artists with whom I was unfamiliar--which is absolutely exciting in my book.

The sampling of works here are from the ground floor of the Wolfe Gallery (represented with four works by Frey, Diebenkorn, Rollins, and Longo), and then a small focus show in the mezzanine called "Art and Mindfulness (represented with three works by Fishman, Belfrage, and Olitski), finally parting shots from the adjacent gallery's ' (two photos).
