The B & O Railroad Museum in Baltimore is part of the large family of Smithsonian affiliate museums. It's located on the site of an old railyard complete with a grandly restored roundhouse. You enter through a modest gift shop and then into a room that celebrates the founding of the railroad and the fact that Charles Carroll, the last living signer of the Declarations of Independence and Constitution, broke ground for the railway's beginning.
