One of my favorite regional art museums is the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington, Delaware. It's a beautiful museum with an expansive exterior sculpture garden and a collection that covers a wide range of American art with specific focuses on American Illustrators, Pre-Raphaelite works, Early 20th Century American specifically John Sloan, and a wonderful Contemporary collection and rotating exhibition space. It is the quintessential mid-sized American Art Museum.
Upon entering, you would probably visit these works.
And then on to other works from the same period.
Amazing detail, eh?
