Cape May County Zoo - NJ: part 3 of 5 (from July 9)

At this point you can enter into a raised boardwalk pathway that will take you through a series of very large habitats for hoofstock.  Very spacious areas, which are followed by a pair of big cats and a series of smaller habitats for smaller primates and birds.  When you come to the end of this section you can wrap on around the eastern portion of the zoo or enter into another raised pathway that will take you to an expanded western area with more large African herbivores among other animals.

The zoo has a large herd of White-tailed Deer with three Leucistic females.

A pair of Dromedary Camels.  This fellow liked to scratch his throat against this pine tree.

This habitat kept both Llama and Alpacas.

Can you see the Bison in this habitat?

American Bison

Through a separated fencing that is shielded by bamboo to keep the hoofstock visually separated from these large feline carnivores.

 African Lion

 Cheetah

A really beautiful little Cotton Top Tamarin.
