To date I have created "habitats" for 86 different species. This represents roughly 48% of all the different species of animal figurines in my collection. I collect from a variety of sources and started with Schleich. I do try to keep the scale proportional in the animals I keep. When they are too large, I send them to my god-son, who now has his own collection of about 30 species. When they are really too large, I give them away to others as gifts. You'd be surprised how some adults behave when they get such an unexpected gift--and if they re-gift them or whatever? What do I care? My mitzvah ended with the giving.
I am eyeing some more additions, though I have exhausted 99% of the obvious available space. I would like to elevate maybe three more species of birds for my table aviary, for example. Time will tell, til then, my complete lists of animals on display and images of the new ones.
