Okay, you've been very patient. So here you go, it's Giant Panda time! The Smithsonian National Zoo is home to two relatively new Pandas. On this day both were out, but not for long. They are being kept apart to enhance the likelihood of a positive copulation in the near future--or so claimed the man standing nearby. His source was an earlier keeper chat.
The male, Bao Li, was in the first of the three habitats.
Giant Panda
Ailuropoda melanoleuca
He explored a little, and then turned around and went inside.
The female, Qing Bao, was in the third habitat, and I caught her likewise heading inside.
