The National Museum of Natural History: Elephant Evolution

Around the second floor balcony of the National Museum of Natural History there are exhibits about Elephants.  They are meant to compliment the large taxidermied specimen down in the main rotunda.  This one on elephant evolution was particularly compelling with is elevated lineage tree and beautiful little brass sculptures of various forms of the family as it evolved, diversified, modified, went extinct and finally arrived at the two species currently residing on the planet with us.
