Smithsonian National Zoo Art

Discovered on the walls of the Small Mammal House at the Smithsonian National Zoo.  I don't wonder that they've been there for a long time, but I never noticed them before.  One is mounted on a wall near the entrance and the other near the exit.  They are made of cast aluminum by Domenico Mortellito in 1936, which probably dates them as original to building.
