ZooAmerica - Hershey, PA: part 4 of 5 (from June 26)

Leaving the Black Bears you cross the little river and come upon their Prairie Dog mound with a couple of the critters scampering around.  There's also a sign reminding you of the zoo's more eclectic past with this was a "monkey island".  Along this section of the zoo is another small food concession and habitats for Elk, Mountain Lions and Pronghorn Antelopes.
A particularly large Prairie Dog town habitat.

The Elk habitat reminds you just how close you are to the citizens of Hershey.

 Pronghorn habitat.

This year ZooAmerica's Pronghorn herd grew by three--here are two of the newborns.
