The section led into a beautiful lobby with a wonder mobile of fish schooling in a circle. To the left was a room where you could pet little rays, and then a spacious corridor with large window overlooking Philadelphia's downtown led to an auditorium and the stairs to the second level and the Kids Zone area.
From the petting pool room you could also look out of tinted glass to the outside park and area where the African Penguins are displayed. The exhibit is on the end phase of a renovation, but it was also clearly too cold even for penguins of this species.
More windows in the corridor area and with old folk rocky chairs, too! I loved that thoughtful addition. And another shot of downtown Philly.
