Covid-19 in the DMV MAR 28

I am going to start tracking the data with this graphic.  The red outlined counties and municipalities are the 7 in which I have spent significant time in the three months prior to the "Hunkering down" directive from our Republican governor, Larry Hogan.  As a life-long Democrat with a progressive leaning, I will say this, I am very pleased by Governor Hogan's leadership in this crisis when all we get from the Federal level are lies, ego trips, and childish denials of responsibility wrapped in juvenile "payback" games.

You can explore this Blog from top to bottom and you'll not find another post as blatantly political.  But these are extra-ordinary times.

Maryland Zoo Pics

The weekend before last, before everything came crashing to a halt, I attended a day long training at the Maryland Zoo where I volunteer.  I have been given the opportunity to expand my role there, and I look forward to doing it once the plague has passed.  Specifically, my expanded interpreting will take place in the Maryland Wilderness and Farm Yard areas.  Part of the training included a lovely stroll with our teachers and fellow volunteers through those areas.  Here are a couple of pics I took along the way.

The pics (top to bottom): Allie and Garrett our Sandhill Cranes, Members of the volunteer group listen to information at the North American River Otters habitat, Josie our female Bobcat, and one of our Alpacas.
